Dragonfly PR spreads the spirit of Christmas with shoebox charity appeal

Children in war torn countries, who may not have had the opportunity of a Christmas gift, will now be able to smile on Christmas Day, thanks to support from Dragonfly PR for Operation Christmas Child.

Our staff have worked hard filling and wrapping shoeboxes to send to boys and girls all over the world and have also been busy collecting boxes from colleagues at Century Business Centre in the Dearne Valley. The shoeboxes have been filled with all kinds of gifts from teddies to hats, gloves, stationery items and sweets.

Emma Holman, one of the main organisers of the shoebox appeal at Dragonfly PR said: “We have really enjoyed taking part in Operation Christmas Child and the experience has been truly rewarding. It’s a great feeling knowing the impact that these shoeboxes will have on a child’s Christmas. Samaritans Purse is a fantastic charity and we are pleased to have supported them with Operation Christmas Child.”

Operation Christmas Child aims to share the love and joy of Christmas with less fortunate children in developing and war torn countries, by providing them with a gift they can treasure on Christmas day.

Once filled and wrapped, our shoeboxes were taken to the drop off location at the Doncaster Deaf Trust to be collected by Samaritans Purse. The boxes will be delivered just in time for Christmas to children living in refugee camps, orphanages and underprivileged neighbourhoods around the world.
