Caroline joins the Dragonfly team
Here we catch up with Caroline Riley, our latest recruit who joins us as PR and Social Media Executive based in our South Yorkshire office.
Caroline is a Graduate from the University of Huddersfield who studied Advertising & Marketing, including digital marketing and PR. She previously worked at a marketing agency in Barnsley where her clients included a number of regional and national housebuilders. She also spent a year as a Communications Assistant working for Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
I haven’t been on holiday abroad for a while, but I really fancy visiting Italy or Santorini in Greece which look like perfect places for hot weather and nice beaches.
What’s your favourite sport?
I enjoy swimming and would like to start horse riding which is something I regret not doing when I was younger. I’d also like to go and see an ice hockey match one day too.
Who’s the famous person you’d most like to meet and why?
I’ve been watching a lot of Carpool Karaoke videos recently so probably James Corden or a comedian like Johnny Vegas because they could both make a joke about any situation.
What do you like most about working in PR and social media?
Social media changes very quickly so I enjoy keeping up to date with what is happening in real time and coming up with creative ways to integrate this into social media campaigns for our clients. I also enjoy writing blog posts and I think it will be interesting to see how much the shift towards digital channels affects traditional methods of PR in the future.
Did you have a new year’s resolution this year?
To learn to ski I’d love to go on a Winter holiday next year to France or Austria.
