One minute guide to social media

In our regular One-minute Guide, we share some of our expertise from 15 years’ experience in the construction sector. In this month’s guide we look at social media:

Blogs – a great way to attract visitors to your site, make them 300 words in length and with a realistic number of keywords and links.

Twitter – works really well, especially for B2B, but don’t tweet for the sake of it; quality over content, always.

Facebook – use for B2C, but this includes tradespeople who make up a growing band of users. Competitions, run through our App, are a good way of generating ‘Likes’ and capturing data of opt-ins.

LinkedIn – ask yourself when you last looked at a ‘company page’. Chances are it was so long ago that you can’t remember and that tells you something. Network by using your personal linkedin account and join and engage in group discussions that affect your industry.

Pinterest – set up by an architect and still a tool used by many specifiers. Great if you have a visual product, such as windows, flooring, kitchens or bathrooms.  We can help set up boards and pin to them regularly, to save you time!
