The Work-wise Foundation

Who they are

The Work-Wise Foundation is an employer-led charity for STEM fields such as engineering and manufacturing, and beyond. We support the development of young people so they have the knowledge, skills, aptitude and opportunities for employment within South Yorkshire.

The organisation helps the private sector take the lead in preparing young people for employment and rewarding careers. We do this by establishing links, developing programmes on training and practical guidance, and connecting employers with their future employees

What we do for them

We are the PR partner for a number of the Foundation's key events and activities including Get up to Speed with STEM, which is the largest careers event to beheld in South Yorkshire.  

Every year, the event brings 5,000 pupils in contact with over 200 businesses from across the region, to enable them to learn more about the skills and knowledge they need to be able to work in STEM-related (Science Technology Engineering Maths) careers. 

Our role is to publicise the event, before and afterwards, generate interest in businesses attending a Business Breakfast, as well as producing graphics and social media content and to help in securing more business sponsors

Results:

The event was a huge success this year, with our team achieving 35 pieces of media coverage and six journalists/photographers from local media attending.
