Our Review of 2019

In January, after two months of hard work from our web and design and SEO team, the new Sheffcare website went live! We worked closely alongside Sheffcare to design and build a new website that was more engaging, easy to navigate and captured what was unique about each of its 10 care homes. Our client was thrilled with the finished results and commented that the website looks amazing and thanked us for all of the time and effort we put in to it. A great start to the year!

During Q1 we started working with Sheffield City Region to maximise awareness at MIPIM 2019, the world’s leading property and real estate exhibition, held in Paris.  The client hosted a series of events with keynote speakers from across the housing and property development sectors, which attracted a great deal of interest from investors and media.

Rahul Mandal, the 2018 Great British Bake-Off winner, visited our client BG Engineering’s stand at the Get up to Speed event at Magna Science Adventure Centre in South Yorkshire.   The event was a great opportunity for our client to showcase the wide range of career opportunities available in engineering for young people.

In April we reported on the fantastic number of awards our clients had achieved through the support of our PR team, who have years of experience in drafting entries. This year alone, we have achieved three accolades for Fusco’s of Whitby, also for EnviroVent in the Heating & Ventilation Awards, Work-wise, Securex, as well as helping many of our clients reach the shortlists for a number of regional business and trade awards. Click here to read more.

We revealed our new website, aimed at making it easier for companies in the construction and manufacturing sector to choose innovative PR and content marketing strategies. The new website features more case studies and examples of how we are helping national and international companies to grow their sales and improve awareness. International PR is a major focus of our new website as more clients look to grow their business overseas via export sales.

Group Rhodes welcomed Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and the Mayor of Wakefield to its recently opened new manufacturing unit to discuss advanced engineering.  Our PR and social media team worked closely with Group Rhodes to maximise publicity and awareness on a regional and national basis.

Our client Cooper Brown Enterprises rebranded to CBE+ and held a major event at its newly refurbished manufacturing facility in Chesterfield.  This was attended by over 100 customers, local dignitaries and media.   The event included an exclusive preview of its Laboratories, Precision Engineering and Gears businesses and mapped out its future into new markets such as aerospace and electric vehicles component manufacture.

In August, we secured a contract with Sheffield City Region to provide content marketing services for its international programme.  Over the last few months, we have worked with SCR to publicise trade missions to India and China.  We have also designed communications campaigns for MIPIM and for events with the Northern Powerhouse.

We started working with PMI (Project Management Institute) UK to publicise the global organisation’s 50th anniversary, plus the launch of its own awards programme.  This includes maximising media interest in a series of regional and national events, the highlight of which is a 50th anniversary awards dinner and celebration at Madame Tussaud’s in London.

Servelec Technologies appointed Dragonfly PR to implement an integrated PR and content creation strategy aimed at growth sectors. The company is a global provider of telemetry hardware and software products and systems. We have already secured press coverage for its state-of-the-art RTUs, secure SCADA platform and suite of business optimisation SaaS solutions.

In November we were appointed as the dedicated PR agency for Paradise Fruits by Jahncke. The company, which is headquartered in Germany with UK offices in Sherburn in Elmet, Yorkshire, approached Dragonfly PR after recognising the team’s expertise in food manufacturing media relations and content marketing. We now manage a media relations and content marketing campaign for Paradise Fruits, focusing on UK and international markets, including Europe and USA.

In December, as a result of our support, the Work-wise Foundation were presented with the prestigious Special Recognition Award at the Sheffield Business Awards, organised by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. The Work-wise Foundation an employer inspired and led Charity established to support the development of children and young people so they have the knowledge, skills, aptitude and opportunities for employment. For the past ten years the organisation has helped thousands of children to gain and insight into and start a career in STEM. We were incredibly pleased that we were able to help them put together the award entry and enable the team to gain the recognition they deserve for years of hard work.
